Since 1996, Markus Berghausen Carpentry has been synonymous with custom-made furniture and interior fittings of the highest standard in the heart of Düsseldorf. In partnership with PFLÜGER KG, Düsseldorf, we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing technology to turn individual dreams into reality.

In our own production halls equipped with state-of-the-art CAD and CNC technology, we create tailor-made solutions – from stylish individual pieces to complete room concepts. Markus Berghausen – Master Craftsman, Entrepreneur, Expert.

Markus Berghausen has been rooted in the carpentry trade for decades. He completed his training from 1986 to 1989, followed by his master's examination in 1995. He also obtained the title of ‘Betriebswirt des Handwerks’ (business economist for the skilled trades), combining technical expertise with business management skills.

In 1996, he founded the Markus Berghausen joinery in Düsseldorf, which specialises in custom-made furniture and high-quality interior design.

On 30 August 2024, Mr Berghausen was appointed by the Düsseldorf Chamber of Crafts as a publicly appointed and sworn expert for the carpentry trade. This makes him one of an exclusive group of currently around 309 recognised experts in Germany.

Main areas of expertise as an expert.

• Expert opinions, assessments and advice in disputes in the carpentry and joinery trade.
• Furniture construction (individual pieces of furniture, interior and shop fittings, kitchens).
• Building components such as doors, windows, stairs, floors.
• Interior fittings for medical practices, hotels, offices and restaurants.
• Damage assessment, e.g. after burglary or relocation damage.
• Invoice verification and support during acceptance inspections.
• Conducting technical examinations in accordance with Sections 7a, 8 and 9 of the German Crafts and Trades Regulation Act (HwO).

His clients include courts, administrative bodies, lawyers, property developers, private builders, architects, notaries, insurance companies and housing associations.

Additional qualifications:

In addition, Mr Berghausen is a qualified REFA administrator and has in-depth knowledge of planning, time recording and process organisation in the skilled trades.
